Neilson Boxing promoter Tony Neilson says he expects a deal for Kelvin Young to fight Sam Smith to be signed and in sealed within the next 24 hours.
Both boxers have been exchanging verbals on social media for the last 10 days, with both indicating they are prepared to fight each other.
However, while Smith has already signed a contract to headline Neilson Boxing’s November show, Young is yet to put pen to paper on a deal to face the Paddy Fitzpatrick-trained boxer.
Young though has indicated he wants the fight both on social media and after speaking to Your Sport Swindon, where he said: “Sam can have it if he wants it,” although he did state that the money would have to be right for him to take the fight.
Speaking exclusively to Your Sport Swindon, Neilson revealed he had spoken to Young and is confident that he wants the fight and expects it to happen after some further negotiations between the two camps.
